Welcome to the home of the Central Texas Baseball League, Inc. The CTBL runs an independent, adult recreational baseball league in the Austin, TX area. The CTBL organized in 2003 as a Texas non-profit corporation and offers Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons for recreational baseball players age 18 and older. Our league plays about 15 to 20 games in the Spring/Summer season, depending on number of teams in the division.
Our Fall season is typically 8-10 games from September to November.
What is the CTBL?
The Central Texas Baseball League incorporated in October 2003. The league originally formed because no one was offering adult baseball in the fall. Adult baseball includes recreational players age 18 to 40 and older, playing real hard ball on local fields. We play modified Major League Baseball rules, with independent batting and defensive lineups, free defensive substitution, wear steel spikes, steal bases (or get thrown out tryin'!), hit home runs, bunt, all that good stuff you don't get to do when you're playing slow-pitch softball. Most players have some high school experience and some have some college or professional experience.
Most of our games are on Sundays, with a few night and Saturday games as well.
There will also be a Fall season running from September to early November.

How do you bring your team to CTBL?
Email the league president, Thi Van Ausdal, info@ctbl.org to discuss bringing or starting a team in CTBL. Starting a team entails many responsibilities, including collecting fees to the league, ordering jerseys, making a lineup each week and managing a roster throughout a season, and ensuring your team understands and obeys the rules of the game and of CTBL.
